Impact is hiring a Multimedia Learning Developer to join our Nationally ranked Best and Brightest Workplace!     
  
As a member of the Impact Leadership Institute (ILI), the Multimedia Learning Developer will drive the creation of learning and training materials designed to support employee learning and performance outcomes. With a dual knowledge of instructional design and graphic design/media production, this role will provide a specialized level of expertise and a unique contribution to Impact, ILI, and our learners.       
  
An ideal candidate is a creative and tech-savvy individual with a strong background in developing and applying learning best practices. Expertise in adult learning principles and methodologies is essential, along with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, concise, and learner-friendly content. The candidate should also have a strong eye for design and ability to create high quality media production content. Strong communication skills, project management capabilities, and a collaborative mindset are critical for working with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and learners to deliver impactful educational experiences.

Responsibilities       

Creates high-quality learning materials     
This position will build training and learning collateral for e-learnings, ILTs (instructor-led trainings), VLTs (virtual-led trainings), and more, on time, and with an eye for quality.     
 
- Meets agreed upon production timelines     
- Advocates for the best solution possible within real-world constraints     
- Deliverables are properly tested, evaluated, updated, revised     
- Learners report satisfaction with learning products    
  
Leverages proven methods and learning science to drive desirable learning outcomes     
This position must apply research-backed practices, including traditional learning theories, adult learning theory, multimedia learning principles, and other standards in instructional design to create content that is conducive to learning.       
 
- Posttests demonstrate strong average scores and first-attempt pass rates     
- Learning outcomes lead to measurable behavioral change       
- Creates meaningful interaction, practice activities, and assessments that align to course objectives     
- When surveyed, learners report confidence in their knowledge gained, ability to retain information, ability to apply the knowledge on the job, and satisfaction with interactive elements   
  
Develops visually compelling and engaging deliverables     
This role must develop visual materials, applying a strong knowledge of graphic design, UX/UI design, and multimedia production skills to craft learning materials that set the standard for visual engagement and put Impact in a class of our own.   
    
- Meets minimum internal standards for production quality, demonstrating a compelling use of graphics, audio, and video
- Materials support our brand identity and aesthetic when practical for learning     
- When surveyed, learners rate visual design, UX. UI, and accessibility highly     
     
Effectively collaborates with key stakeholders     
This role will often interact with internal stakeholders. This position must apply professional-level communication skills, conflict resolution, and problem-solving ability to drive meaningful and productive collaboration with subject-matter experts, project owners, and leadership.       
  
- Works with Learning Strategy and Curricula team to understand analysis and design specifications, supporting instructional strategies     
- Works with subject-matter experts to understand training needs, translating potentially complex content into instructionally sound deliverables     
- Champions and advocates for practices that support learning outcomes     
- Communicates the rationale and evidence supporting L&D decisions in a compelling way that stakeholders can understand and appreciate     
- Conducts “train-the-trainer” sessions when needed to prepare facilitators to use the content      
  
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. 
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience in an eLearning developer, learning content developer, multimedia learning developer, educational animator or something similar; must have current portfolio. 
- Functional knowledge and experience using Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere. 
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as written and verbal communication skills. 
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and changing deadlines, remain open-minded and adaptable. 
- Ability to work within a team-oriented environment, have fun and drive progress. 
- A portfolio is required to showcase your skills and abilities. We do not want/need to see proprietary content, but we do need to see what you can do.     
  
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge and experience using e-learning authoring tools, including Articulate Storyline. 
- Functional knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. 
- Extra Adobe Creative Cloud experience, working with Audition (for voice-over audio mastering) and AfterEffects. 
- Experience working with the Docebo learning management system.
