Impact is hiring an Accounting Analyst for our Nationally Ranked Best and Brightest Workplace!
The Accounting Analyst will work with the finance department on a variety of accounting procedures. The Accounting Analyst will need to understand accounting data and financial reporting generated by business intelligence platforms. The Accounting Analyst will focus on month-end closings and audit procedures as well as ad-hoc reporting and analysis for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Contracts, and Billing.
Responsibilities- Prepare financial statements and reports for month-end and year-end close
- Participate in the review and improvement of month-end close processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency and effectiveness
- Identify accounting trends and provide recommendations for improvement
- Collaborate with Finance and Corporate Administration teams on ad-hoc reporting requests
- Assist with revenue recognition adjustments, bank reconciliations, balance sheet account reconciliations
- Includes 606 adjustments for service revenues
- Includes 842 adjustments for capital and operating leases
- Provide audit back up and analysis on a quarterly/annual basis for external auditors
Things We Are Looking For- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field
- Pursuit of or currently held CPA, preferred
- Understanding of ASC606 and ASC842 is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication skills (phone, e-mail, and in-person)
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize tasks on a daily/monthly/annual basis
- Flexible, adaptable and self-motivated
- Willing to work in a fast-paced environment
